In particular, the candidate will join the team to support the partnership between Falck Renewables SpA and BlueFloat Energy for the development of floating offshore wind farms off the Italian coast and the ongoing authorization process for 6 offshore projects in 3 regions of Italy. As Senior Business Development Manager you will follow the latest developments of the different work streams including permitting, project management, technical studies, stakeholder engagement and communication, and other project development activities. If you are passionate about offshore wind power, and in particular floating, and enjoy the unique challenges of a growing business in an emerging industry, this might be the right opportunity for you Job Description: Main Accountabilities Support the preparation and attend meetings with existing and/or potential stakeholders, including Italian administrative bodies, policy makers, regional authorities, infrastructure organizations, potential subcontractors etc. Explore potential greenfield and co-development opportunities for floating offshore wind projects in Italy, including review and negotiation of Head of Terms, Joint Development Agreements, preparation of applications for offshore leases and tenders; Proactively work with the authorities, ministries, governmental bodies, associations and negotiate with ports, local supply chain, communities, grid/aviation authorities and fishermen unions and any other local stakeholder with an aim of gaining full support for the projects; Manage the development of offshore wind projects within budget from early stages to achieve Ready-to-Build status, coordinating with various project stakeholders; Plan, prepare and secure maritime concession permits, environmental permits & authorisations, grid connection procedure; Direct the activities of external contractors and internal team members who are supporting project development activities; Support internal coordination, including organization and preparation of periodic and ad-hoc meetings with management and different business units; Explore regional needs, gather specific regional market intelligence and identify key topics of interest to incorporate in the regional approach strategies; Supporting the Offshore Wind Director, act as an interface and facilitator between the local stakeholders and Falck Renewables and BlueFloat Energy, identifying key areas of concern for the local stakeholders requesting special attention and propose actions to address those concerns for the successful consenting of the projects, thus fostering a constructive dialogue and developing long-term relationships based on trust; In coordination with the Offshore Wind Director, represent the partners at the relevant conferences and events, including public debates and other events to present the vision and strategy of Falck Renewables and BlueFloat Energy to the regional authorities and infrastructure organizations; Research on external consultants and other service providers, establish contacts and initiate engagement; Monitor and analyze political and regulatory developments in relation to offshore wind (Italy and EU context), prepare summaries of the legislative documents in English, assess the impact of such on the project development activities; Gather and analyze market intelligence in relation to competition, supply chain, infrastructure in relation to offshore wind in Italy. Required Education and Professional Experience University Degree in Engineering/Sciences 6 years of professional experience, of which at least 4 (four) in wind energy, with a deep understanding of technical, economic and legal matters; Experience of working in different consortia and multicultural environment will be viewed favourably; Technical understanding of offshore wind energy will be viewed favourably. Required Knowledge & Hard Skills Ability to relate to and to manage multiple stakeholders and availability of a strong and consolidated network in the industry; Ability to structure and coordinate multiple workstreams, involving external and internal experts; Advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations; Exceptional written communication and presentation skills; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, Power Point and Word; familiarity with design programs and database systems are advantages; Languages: Fluent in Italian (preferably, mother tongue) and English required; Willingness for short-term travelling on a regular basis.
